Treehouse Juicery
This award-winning, health-conscious café has two outlets in DXB, with both serving delicious dishes suitable for all dietary requirements. Expect plenty of vegan, vegetarian, low-fat, low sugar and organic dishes as well as a range of freshly made juices and smoothies that will all fulfil your new year’s healthy eating regime. Gluten-free highlights include chocolate and passion fruit overnight oats, poached chicken salad, roasted squash salad, split wheat and beetroot salad and a cauliflower booster – roasted cauliflower, pomegranate, pistachio, red onion, parsley, mint and lemon. There’s a grab-and-go counter, too if you’re in a rush to catch your flight.

Brioche Doree
The words French and bakery may not conjure up images of salads and healthy snacks, but we can assure you that this French bakery is all about the healthy eats – admittedly among the delicious pastries and croissants, but there’s nothing wrong with testing your willpower a bit. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all catered for with homemade sandwiches, salads and soups all winning in the guilt-free dining stakes.
Concourse D, Terminal 1, Upper Level.
Giraffe
This is a firm favourite with the whole family, so if you’re travelling with little ones in tow, you can head here knowing that they will find something to fill their tummies while you peruse the menu for the least calorific dishes – of which there are a few. The super salads are worth checking out. With butternut squash, beluga lentils, freekeh, broccoli and roasted peppers smothered in coconut yoghurt, the Super Freekah is our go-to.
Concourse A, Terminal 3 & Concourse D, Terminal 1, Upper Level.
Grabbit
Grab by name, grab by nature: this mini outlet is perfect for those looking to make a pit stop before rushing off. Grabbit has more than a dozen hot and cold options to choose from and plenty of the dishes fall in to a healthy category. Order the tuna niçoise salad or the falafel bowl, both of which are satisfying and filling. And you can polish that halo once you’ve put your knife and fork together at the end of the meal.

Pret A Manger
The British high street staple has two outposts in DXB and we love both of them. Everything is made fresh on the day – from pastries and sandwiches to hearty soups and tasty wraps – making it a firm favourite with everyone. Plus, there’s an excellent range of delicious salads as well as hummus and vegetable or edamame pots, breakfast bowls and fruit. The organic and freshly brewed
coffee is a must.
