Plate #1: McArabia (UAE)

The culinary adventure starts here in Dubai with the McArabia, a tasty staple of McDonald’s menus across the region, from the UAE to Saudi Arabia to Bahrain. The scrummy sandwich is made up of grilled chicken patties, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and garlic sauce, all lovingly folded in Arabic bread. If Phileas Fogg was around today he’d certainly be lovin’ it.

Plate #2: Tandoori prawns (North India)

Heading east over the Gulf, things start to get spicy with a stopover in North India. Masale’s tandoori prawns are marinated in yoghurt, ginger and garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, mustard oil and garam masala, then cooked in a tandoor oven. The succulent shrimps are served with mint chutney, garlic chutney, onion salad and lemon wedges.

Plate #3: Masala dosa (South India)

Crossing the Tropic of Cancer, it’s time to enjoy a Subcontinental breakfast at Masale. A signature of the south, this masala dosa is made with rice and lentil flour, crisped to perfection and filled with mildly spiced potatoes, onions, curry leaves and mustard seeds. You’ll go coconuts once you dip it in the tropical chutneys and sambar veg stew.
