Plate #10: Seasonal soup (Morocco)

Recharge with this hearty ‘Seasonal Soup’ at The Kitchen by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck. It’s a heady concoction of diced beef, ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, fresh tomato, chickpeas, sweet potato, coriander, black pepper and lemon. Don’t forget to order a mint tea as an authentic Moroccan digestive.

Plate #11: Chicken shawarma (Lebanon)

Hit the streets of Beirut for the ultimate Middle Eastern fast food – the chicken sharwama. Shawarmanji’s aptly named ‘Chickenmanji’ is a time-honoured recipe of grated marinated chicken with lettuce, pickles, fries and garlic sauce, all wrapped in pitta bread. For a different side, try the FriesManji – crispy, imported fries, seasoned with black pepper and onion powder.

Plate #12: Halloumi and feta pide (Turkey)

Things get irresistible in Istanbul with this Turkish pizza or ‘pide’. Giraffe’s version starts with a baba ganoush base that’s temptingly topped with halloumi, feta, baby spinach and roasted red peppers. It’s served with the classic cacik (tzatziki) yoghurt and cucumber sauce.
