If you’re craving a dish packed with flavour then look no further than Giraffe World Kitchen’s new kati roll, an Indian street food classic.

Legend has it the kati roll was invented in Kolkata’s Nizam Restaurant to satisfy the appetites of hurried office commuters in need of something quick and portable to eat.

The name ‘kati’ comes from the iron skewers that were originally used to make the dish. Although these were later replaced with cheaper and more readily available bamboo alternatives, the name stuck.

Giraffe’s take on this delicious dish is packed with enough flavour and texture to send your senses into overdrive. Cumin-roasted cauliflower is mixed with chickpeas, pomegranate, red onion and coriander, all wrapped in a soft naan bread and served with Greek-style yoghurt and tamarind chutney.

Giraffe World Kitchen is located in DXB Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. You can even get 25% off at Giraffe and other DXB outlets by signing up for discounts at
