The World Cup, remember that? One of the most entertaining sporting tournaments in recent history ended with an emphatic final. No, football didn’t come home. No, it wasn’t Messi’s year. And no, we can’t manage another four-year wait until it’s back.

Thankfully, the club season is well underway and this month promises more drama than a penalty shootout. So, if you’re passionate for the Premier League, love La Liga or are silly for Serie A, you’ll never miss a moment here in DXB.

Heineken Garden pop-up

Heineken’s pop-up site appeared over the summer for the scintillating World Cup. And, thanks to its ever-busy bar area, its 110-inch screen is still showing this season’s matches.

Heineken Lounge

For a cosier affair, head to the Heineken Lounge near A Gates. With six screens to choose from you can expect action 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can pull up a stool and enjoy the big game in a more relaxed atmosphere, while still swapping gloating texts with friends using DXB’s free, unlimited and super-fast wi-fi.

The Draft House

We guarantee you won’t miss a single overhead kick, last-minute penalty or heartbreaking equaliser if you head to The Draft House – that’s because it has 18 live match screens. So you’ll de?nitely have a clear view of everything that happens, even if the referee doesn’t… The Draft House is also running two food deals to celebrate Oktoberfest (and the Bundesliga, of course). Head to this relaxed watering hole before catching your flight and you can enjoy a pretzel burger and a pint of selected hops for Dhs135. Or, if you’re looking to up the ante, bag a pretzel burger and a stein of selected hops for Dhs165
Concourse D, Terminal 1.

Jack’s Bar & Grill

Like a deep waft of fresh Tennessee air, Jack’s Bar & Grill takes you on a journey to a place where the pace of life moves a little slower. It’s a casual venue that captures the spirit of traditional southern American charm. So keep the decorum while watching the footie (if you may, ladies and gentlemen). Okay “soccer” may not be what the Americans are famous for, but the delicious menu of burgers and grilled platters are why we go. And besides, the six screens as well as a big projector will take care of all the football you need anyway.
