You may not expect to see a live music concert in an airport, but that’s exactly what you can find in Dubai International.
Dubai Airports’ groundbreaking concert series #musicDXB was launched in November 2015, following Katy Perry’s amazing show at the Dubai Airshow Gala Dinner.
Since then, Dubai International has seen a whole host of singers and bands perform live at the airport, entertaining millions of passengers through the universal language of music. Here’s a small selection of the many performers for #musicDXB so far.
Jack Pack
UK quartet Jack Pack, who reached the finals of Britain’s Got Talent, got #musicDXB off to a swinging start in November 2015.
Abri & Funk Radius
Local legend Hamdan Al Abri put on an incredible show with his band, Funk Radius.
The Swing Revue
This fun Dubai-based band was formed through the love of swing and vintage sounds.
Grace
Australian singing sensation Grace recorded her debut album with the legendary Quincy Jones. What’s more, her version of Lesley Gore’s ‘You Don’t Own Me’ appeared on the soundtrack for 2016 movie Suicide Squad.
Hamza Hawsawi
The winner of X-Factor Arabia gave a brilliant performance during the festive period at the end of 2016.

Aside from delighting passengers, #musicDXB is a fantastic platform for musicians. UAE-based acts, as well as those travelling to or through Dubai, are invited to participate. Interested acts should email musicDXB@dubaiairports.ae and include links to live music samples, travel dates and a short testimonial about why they want to perform on the world’s largest stage.
