Both Dubai International and Dubai World Central played starring roles in the latest episode of Top Gear, which recently aired to millions of viewers in the UK.

It featured one of the show’s most exhilarating races yet, in which former Friends megastar Matt LeBlanc jumped on board a private jet from DXB to Oman.

Luckily the Dubai Airports team managed to get some cracking shots from behind the scenes.

Just last week, Sir Richard Branson was reunited with Dubai Airports’ CEO Paul Griffiths, who worked for Virgin in the 90s.

Last month, the legendary Mariah Carey was snapped outside Terminal 3’s VIP facility, Al Majlis, before her amazing performance at Dubai Jazz Festival.

The same spot formed the backdrop for another snap of famous petrolheads – Jeremy Clarkson and James May – who were in town to film Amazon’s The Grand Tour.

Meanwhile Dubai’s second airport, DWC, is an expert in entertaining aeronautical celebrities. Guns N’ Roses’ very own Boeing 767 rocked up ahead of the year’s biggest gig at the Autism Rocks Arena in Dubai.

We’re wondering whether Axel Rose’s mid-air instructions were: “Take me down to the Paradise City!”
