DXB recently welcomed British Airways’ first long-haul service from London on an Airbus A350-1000.

Dubai is the airline’s launch destination for the service on the state-of-the-art aircraft.

The aircraft has a wingspan of 212 feet and a length of 240 feet – nearly as long as a football field.

Inspired by birds, the adaptive wing design morphs while airborne to achieve maximum aerodynamic efficiency.

Its range of 16,100km is the longest in the industry and it’s said to be one of the quietest and most fuel-efficient aircraft in the skies.
