We might not be able to fly to the Red Planet from Dubai (yet), but passengers can now board via MARS.
Multiple Aircraft (or Apron) Ramp System technology, used at both Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC), helps to make our gates more efficient and flexible.
Instead of parking two small narrow-bodied aircraft at separate parking stands, MARS allows both aircraft to use one big stand, each served by one Passenger Loading Bridge (PLB).
The MARS flexibility then allows a wide-bodied aircraft to use the same stand with the PLB extending to both doors for efficient boarding.
This innovation is certainly something we can stand.
